General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories

Our facility in Round Rock, Texas USA maintains an on-site National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable Metrology Laboratory that provides comparison temperature calibrations from -196 °C to 700 °C (-320 °F to 1292 °F) on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) for temperature sensors and instrumentation. We can also perform relative calibrations at the boiling point of liquid nitrogen.

The Metrology Laboratory is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), which meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 Calibration Laboratories and Measuring and Test Equipment—General Requirements, and ASTM E644 – 11  Standard Test Methods for Testing Industrial Resistance Thermometers.

Because the A2LA has mutual recognition arrangements with other global laboratory accreditation systems, test and calibration data from the Metrology Laboratory is accepted in most countries of the world.
