CMS  – Continuous Monitoring Station

The CMS Gamma is an advanced continuous monitoring station for the measurement of gamma radiation (dose-rate) in the environment or workplace. The system provides essential, reliable information to personnel when radiation levels are above normal. The CMS Interlock SIL or CMS Process SIL versions of this versatile unit can provide interlock control in hot areas such as fuel stores, caves, glove boxes and hot cells as required.

The CMS can be used with Ion-Chamber (CMS Ion), GM (CMS Gamma), or Scintillator detector technology.

Features:

  • Installed or transportable
  • The internal backup battery enables full operation for up to 1 hour in the event of mains failure
  • A wide range of detectors is available to address most applications
  • The detector arrangement can be installed at distances of up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) from the CMS station
